Whether it's staying informed about newly passed legislation or ensuring your properties comply with existing regulations, it's crucial to educate yourself and maintain compliance whilst also preparing for forthcoming changes.
As legislative changes intensify, local authorities are increasingly scrutinizing non-compliant landlords for potential prosecution. Fines are escalating and the margin for error is shrinking, underscoring the importance of landlords staying updated on council changes nationwide to avoid inadvertent violations and penalties.
Furthermore, the Renters Reform Bill has generated significant traction recently, with proposals aiming to enact substantial changes in the private rental sector, the scope of which has not been seen in 30+ years. Key measures include abolishing no-fault evictions, no minimum tenancy duration, refining rent adjustment regulations, automatic allowing of pets in rental properties, and implementing a mechanism for tenants to raise complaints against their landlord.
Amidst the highest levels of legislation to date, many landlords struggle to maintain compliant due to the sheer volume of requirements and obligations. However, our mission is to provide support and education to our local landlord community.
Investing in property shouldn't mean constant worry. That's why we're hosting a complimentary webinar, inviting all landlords to join and engage with our experts. It's an opportunity to gain insights, ask questions, and feel more confident in your role as a landlord.
